Build the data tooling that maps who in government buys what, when, and from whom.
About the role
Public procurement runs on public data: budgets, award histories, vendor registrations, meeting minutes. Most of it is scattered and messy, which is exactly why it is valuable to the firm that structures it. You would build and run the tooling that turns that exhaust into a clear map of the market we compete in.
What you'll do
- Build and run scrapers and data pipelines over procurement portals, spending records, and other public sources.
- Turn messy inputs (PDFs, portals, spreadsheets) into structured, queryable data.
- Ship the analyses and internal views that guide where we compete.
- Keep the tooling boring, observable, and cheap to run.
What we look for
- Strong Python or TypeScript, and you have shipped scrapers or data pipelines against real, messy sources.
- Good judgment about data quality: you notice when numbers are wrong and care why.
- Pragmatic and independent, allergic to overengineering.
